The Moon-Spiners (1964)

The Moon-Spiners (1964)

Hayley Mills comes off age in this suspenseful flick from Disney. It looks as if the many opportunities she has had to be kissed on the silver screen finally comes to be as her sweet lips are finally touched by another’s. What’s funny , is at the end when her lover boy finds her alive in a moment of passion kisses her once again but on the check or neck. I guess Hayley gets one kiss per movie. Anyway, a suspenseful somewhat romantic Disney Flic.

If there's one fault to find with the film (besides the unlikable character of Mark), it's that it unnecessarily goes a bit heavy on PG-rated mano-a-mano fighting. This serves no purpose thematically, as its clunky nature belies the suspense it is trying to build. Ultimate Disney Review
