Sumer Magic (1963)

Summer Magic (1963)

You know that Summer Magic?

No Car Chases.

No sizzling kissing scenes.

No mind blowing special effects.

No conflicts that are not resolved in a timely and pleasant manner.

This film is a simple Norman Rockwell painting.

This film is A quiet poem describing a family who moves from the lush Boston area to hick-town Maine.

This film is  a non-musical musical. Most of the musical numbers involve individuals either playing a piano or a guitar.

This film is based on the book "Mother Carey's Chickens" by Kate Douglas Wiggin

‘Summer Magic’ is a nice-non stressful time hanging out with a young Haley Mills and Burl Ives.

So come one and all the Ugly Bug Ball, and enjoy this classic Disney pleasant summer breeze of a film.

Come on let's crawl (gotta crawl gotta crawl)
To the ugly bug ball (to the ball to the ball)
And a happy time we'll have there, one and all and the ugly bug ball

Be sure to look for the sequel ‘Winter Magic’, coming to an imagination near you.
