The Strongest Man in the World February 1975

The Strongest Man in the World February 1975

In the last movie in the Dexter Riley trilogy, he became invisible and in this one he becomes strong like superman. The last film and this one have several amusing laughs and cleaver gags, it makes me want to revisit the first film  in the series  where he becomes a human computer, to give it more of a fair chance as I thought the first one was absolutely one of most boring Disney pictures ever made.

Some highlights this time around involve Dean Higgins (Joe Flynn) eating the super strength formula sprinkled on his breakfast cereal and then giving a performance of acrobatic feats and super strength lifting demonstrations to a group of corporate onlookers.

Kurt in a hurry to get back to a weight lifting contest on time, puts the super strength formula in Higgins antique car that he borrowed to juice up the speed. At a stop sign he has to smash the bottom of the car floor and hold the car in place with his super strengthen legs while some cops attempt to write him a ticket.

Several Wacky Gags strengthen this picture and are spread out in another fine example of comedic science fiction from the Golden age of Disney Comedy.
